What I'm Doing Now

This is my now page (new tab) following the example of Derek Sivers (new tab).
I regularly update it to reflect what I'm currently focusing on.

Work

As of August, I started a new position as a product engineer at a German startup called Pactos (new tab), an AI-powered operating system for contingent workforce management.
Additionally, I'm bcurrently uilding a new tool to automate document generation together with an old friend.
Besides that, I work as a coach for self-management, productivity and personal growth and currently focus on growing my blog and YouTube channel (new tab).
Last but not least, I'm also mentoring a small tech startup and host regular self-management and realignment retreats.

Education

I'm currently enrolled in practical philosophy marking the fifth module of my bachelor in cultural studies. I major in philosophy with history being my minor. It can be quite dry sometimes, but I do enjoy writing essays!

Hobbies

I'm still actively leading a scouts association (new tab) and volunteer for Watoto Kabisa (new tab) which combined take the majority of my weekends.
Since last year, I also play contrabass in an advanced amateur orchestra.
Additionally, whenever I find time, I sit down and write some pages for my fantasy novel.
Given that English is my de facto day-to-day language nowadays, it's kinda nice to write in German from time to time.

Social Life

I've started monthly check-ins with a couple of friends.
What might sound like a strange idea at first, has been a real gamechanger so far and really deepened my relationships with those.
The idea is quite simple. We try to meet or call at least once per month and update each other on what's going on, what's on our mind and how we're doing in general.

Private

Apart from everything mentioned above, my remaining focus is all on our house.
We've done all of the planning and hope to start construction very soon.
It's definitely exciting but also intimidating at the same time.
