Habit Stacking

Habit stacking is the idea of attaching a new behavior to a reliable existing habit so the old routine becomes the cue.
Based on implementation intentions (if-then plans), it strengthens cue-response links and reduces reliance on motivation.

Template: Choose stable anchors (same context, daily), keep the new action small at first and optionally add a brief celebration to consolidate.
For self-management, stacking helps routines fit into busy days and builds consistency; once the link is automatic, scale duration or difficulty gradually.
