Eisenhower Matrix
Eisenhower Matrix is a simple prioritization tool that sorts tasks by urgency and importance into four quadrants:
- Do (urgent–important)
- Schedule (not-urgent–important)
- Delegate (urgent–not-important)
- Eliminate (not-urgent–not-important)
It externalizes trade-offs, reduces reactive work and protects time for important-but-not-urgent tasks like planning or learning.
Use it during weekly planning sessions to choose a few "Schedule" items and to prune the "Eliminate" quadrant. Keep criteria concrete (outcomes, deadlines, stakeholders) so judgments aren't just gut feel.
