Task Batching

Task batching describes grouping similar tasks into a single, time-boxed block to reduce mental reconfiguration between dissimilar activities.
In cognitive terms it lowers switch costs (resetting goals and rules) and attention residue (lingering thoughts from the last task).

Practically, you cluster by mode—messages, admin, creative—set up once, then process sequentially. Use short blocks, an entry checklist (what "done" looks like) and a small "parking lot" to capture out-of-scope ideas without breaking flow. Batching pairs well with weekly planning and protects depth by keeping tools and cognitive demands stable.
